Congratulations to our students who attended the World Scout Jamboree
We are very proud of our students who, as part of the UK Contingent amongst the tens of thousands of International Scouts, attended the World Scout Jamboree in Seoul, South Korea in August.
It is obvious from the reports of the event we've received so far, that it was a 'once in a lifetime' opportunity and experience!
Congratulations to all who were involved.

“The jamboree was a brilliant and unforgettable experience. Although it didn’t go completely to plan, you may have read about how the conditions at the camp site were not suitable, it was still a truly, truly amazing trip. We did spend 4 days on site before being evacuated, where I made countless international friends. We were able to trade badges and kit. We then went back up to Seoul and did various activities. People were so kind and bought us ice creams because they were sorry for how the Jamboree had been. We visited many attractions including a theme park, the Olympic Park and the DMZ (Demilitarised Zone). At the DMZ we learned how families have been separated by war when the ceasefire was declared in 1953. We learned about the history that has shaped Korea. The damage inflicted both north and south of the border changed both countries, and this is partly why much of Seoul is so new. The jamboree was not what was expected but provided a brilliant and unforgettable experience I will cherish forever.”
