Global Glyn
Glyn School is commited to producing global citizens as part of our personal develpment curriculum.
To achieve this we ensured the following:
1. The geography currciulum is global in context throughout.
2. All subject areas are global in context in mutiple areas.
3. Have a partner international school.
4. Undertake global projects outside of the core curriculum.
Glyn School is partners with St Christophers' School in Nairobi, Kenya with whom we have undertaken multiple projects including:
1. A joint Climate Change Group.
2. Joint Art Competitions.
3. Regular contact between senior leaders from both schools.
4. Professional coaching between staff from both schools.
Additionally, we have undetaken the following projects over the past two years:
1. Global Foods in Year 9 (6 weeks).
2. Learning Swaheli in Year 8 (2 weeks).
3. Attending Model UN conferences.
4. Hosting Spanish students for an immersive experience.
5. Hosting Chinese students.
6. Participating in the Economist's Topical Talks
7. Participating in the British Councils' Celebrate Speaking
We are very proud of our work on global citizenship and since 2021, we have been awarded the foundation, intermediate and full accreditation international school awards from the British Council.
