Applications
In most cases students will apply to five universities.
We recommend that these institutions should be visited, where possible, according to Glyn’s Open Day guidelines and current Government Covid 19 Guidelines.
It is important to consider reserve choice carefully, in line with expected results.
Entry criteria for ‘insurance’ choice should be different to the ‘firm’ or aspirational choice.

University Open Days (these may be 'virtual' tours)
Open Days are a fantastic opportunity for students to get a realistic feel for university and to decide which is the best 'fit' for them.
Parents/Guardians must notify Mrs Bennett PA to the Sixth Form Leadership of any Open Days which students wish to attend prior to attending.
Students are permitted to attend three University Open Days during term time per academic year.
You can use the excellent search tool on the UCAS website to see when and where Open Days are being held: UCAS Open Day search tool:

We recommend that students use the summer holidays to maximise their opportunity to visit any universities which they are considering applying to.
