Sixth Form 16-19 Bursary Fund

We would like to take this opportunity to remind all students in the Sixth Form who might be facing financial difficulties that we operate the 16-19 Bursary Fund - offering two levels of support to help students remain in education.

The Vulnerable Student Bursary is available to students in the greatest need with eligible students receiving an annual bursary of up to £1,200 paid in bi-weekly instalments.

Students not eligible for the Full Bursary, may be able to access the Discretionary Bursary Fund of up to £500 per academic year for specific educational purposes e.g. books, equipment, examination resit fees, university applications fees, university visits, Glyn branded uniform, educational visits and transport costs for school trips.

Full details of eligibility criteria can be found in the 19-19 Bursary Policy below. Additionally, if you are eligible for either of the 16-19 Bursaries, you may also be eligible for Free School Meals.

To apply for the Vulnerable Student Bursary or the Discretionary Bursary please complete the Application Form below and return it to Mrs Florence in the Sixth Form office, along with any relevant evidence paperwork in relation to household income.

Registration for this scheme is confidential and it will not affect any other benefits you are claiming.
