Governance
Glyn School is part of GLF Schools, a Multi Academy Trust (MAT) of 43 Primary and Secondary schools. The governance structure of the Trust had been developed to support both the culture of GLF Schools and the effective management of a large organisation. GLF Schools recognises the individuality of each school and that each school has its own distinct character and culture that is respectful of its community and context.
The Trust Board has overall responsibility for the school and has delegated the responsibility to implement and review the school's strategic plans to the School Standards Board (SSB) for Glyn School.
The SSB has the following core responsibilities:
- Strategic oversight of the education provision of the School
- Strategic oversight of compliance of the School with Trust Policies
- Supporting the Trust Board to ensure good governance across the Trust

I am a Chartered Chemical Engineer working in business development for an industrial gases company in Surrey. As STEM Ambassador (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths), I visit many local schools to provide science demonstrations and attend career fairs. I also mentor graduate engineers in our company until they obtain their chartered engineer qualification. After spending six years as governor at a local primary school, I joined the Glyn SSB in 2021 and became chair in September 2024. I still have one son at Glyn, so I will be connected to the school for quite a few years to come. |

I am an experienced learning and development professional with 18 years’ experience of working in central government (including overseas). Working in a complex and ever-changing environment has deepened many of my skills, particularly those in leadership, people management, problem-solving, prioritisation, and creativity. As well as a huge passion for learning, I bring a real desire to support our community and the education of our next generation. I am therefore delighted to be joining the SSB for Glyn, which I know to be a truly excellent school with a genuine commitment to ensuring all pupils have access to an outstanding education. I have particular interests in SEN, but I am very much looking forward to learning all about Glyn and its students, staff and wider community. I am married to Paul, and we have a daughter currently in year 7 at Rosebery. We also have a mud-obsessed cockapoo called Violet. I am also one of social secretaries for the local Epsom Allsorts ladies run club. |

As a former Glyn School student, the all-round education I received and the friendships I made have had a hugely positive influence on my life. I am a believer in lifelong learning and studied Economics at Leeds University, and an MBA at Cass Business School. I have over 25 years’ experience in both investment banking and more recently management consulting; advising on strategic change including business strategy, operating models, risk management and technology implementation. Outside of work I have two secondary school age children and when not spending time with my family or coaching junior rugby or cricket I can be found cooking and gardening. I look forward to supporting the Glyn LMT in continuing to provide an amazing co-curricular offering and helping every pupil achieve their academic potential. |

My Investment Banking career spans Finance, Operations, and Technology, where I have successfully led multi-million-dollar programmes and delivered technology solutions that drive efficiency, effectiveness and measurable value for diverse stakeholders. I actively mentor young professionals and am active member of various networks within my workplace. I was honoured with the TechWomen100 Award and am multilingual, fluent in Greek and Tamil, with conversational proficiency in French and Hindi. My upbringing has been a true “East meets West” experience, giving me a broad, inclusive perspective. Beyond my professional life, I have a strong interest in the arts, particularly painting, drawing and sewing. Personally, I am a mother of two very active boys – one in high school and one in junior school. I am honoured to contribute my professional expertise, leadership skills, and diverse life experience to the Glyn SSB, which is my local high school. As a parent, leader and mentor, I am deeply committed to ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive academically, socially, and personally. |
