Glyn Ski Trip 2026
This year’s Glyn School ski trip to Saalbach, Austria proved to be an unforgettable experience for all 62 students across KS3, KS4, and KS5. With breathtaking scenery, exceptional snow conditions, and a week filled with learning, achievement, and laughter, our students truly made the most of every moment on the slopes.
Outstanding Hospitality in the Alps
From the moment we arrived, the family who hosted our group made us feel completely at home. Their warm hospitality, highâÂÂquality food, and comfortable accommodation created the perfect base for a busy and energetic week. Staff and students alike were incredibly grateful for their firstâÂÂclass care.
Impressive Progress on the Slopes
This year’s group displayed remarkable dedication and talent:
-
Beginner groups made exceptional progress, with many students mastering techniques far beyond their starting level.
-
Advanced skiers showcased outstanding skill, representing the school brilliantly as they tackled more demanding runs with confidence and control.
The instructors were full of praise for the students’ resilience, teamwork, and rapid improvement.
Learning, Laughter, and Evening Adventures
After full days on the mountains, students enjoyed a brilliant programme of evening activities, all of which contributed to the excitement and community spirit of the trip. These included:
-
Swimming trips to two different venues
-
A lively ice hockey match
-
The much anticipated and always competitive Glyn Quiz Night
These events gave students the chance to unwind, bond with peers across year groups, and create memories that will stay with them long after returning to school.
A Safe and Successful Trip
One of the most impressive achievements of the week was that all 62 students completed the trip without a single injury — a real testament to their sensible behaviour, teamwork, and the excellent supervision from staff.
