Year 9 - CCF Free Trial
CCF (Combined Cadet Force) is back, and we would like to invite Year 9 students to join us! After what has seemed like an age, we are finally parading again with both the Army and RAF sections of the CCF. It is also great to see Cadets from previous years coming back to school to help with teaching the younger Cadets, as part of their leadership skills. Unfortunately, we are not yet able to travel to City of London Freemen’s School for CCF activities. However, 2Lt. Truelove, the Contingent Commander, will be coming to Glyn School on alternate weeks to lead the Parade.
In light of the disruption to CCF activities over the past year, we are inviting Year 9 students to come along from now until the end of this school year to see if they enjoy it, free of charge, before committing to joining us for the next academic year. CCF meets on Thursdays from 3.15pm until 5.00pm and, in normal times, Cadets have many opportunities for day and weekend enriching activities throughout the year. Year 9 students who would like to join us should meet in the Junior Playground on Thursdays at 3.15pm. Students should wear their school PE kit and/or school tracksuit, depending on the weather. I look forward to seeing our Contingent grow.
