Celebrating 100 Years of Glyn School

For nearly a century, Glyn School has played a central role in the lives of young people, helping generations of students develop the character, confidence and ambition to make a positive difference in the world. As we look towards our centenary year, we have a unique opportunity to celebrate not only our history, but also the people, values and traditions that continue to define the Glyn experience.

On Tuesday September 2027, Glyn School will proudly mark its 100th anniversary. This milestone represents far more than a birthday. Throughout the centenary year, students, staff, families, alumni and community partners will come together for a programme of events and projects designed to celebrate everything that makes Glyn special. Highlights of our centenary programme will include:

• A Spectacular Centenary Fireworks Display, lighting up the sky as the Glyn community comes together to mark this historic occasion.
• The Glyn Centenary Ball, an unforgettable evening bringing together alumni, staff, governors, community partners and supporters of the school.
• 100 Voices for 100 Years, a unique project capturing the stories, memories and reflections of students, staff and alumni from across the decades, creating a permanent digital and historical record of Glyn's impact.
• An Alumni Reunion Series, reconnecting with Old Glynians from every generation and celebrating the lifelong bonds created through the school.
• The Glyn Through the Years Exhibition, showcasing photographs, artefacts and personal accounts that tell the story of the school's remarkable journey.
• A Centenary Legacy Project, led by students and designed to leave a lasting contribution to both the school and the wider community.
• 100 Acts of Service, encouraging every student to make a positive difference through volunteering, charity work and community engagement.
