YEAR 8A - GLYN SCHOOL VS WILSON'S SCHOOL REPORT REVIEW
Last Saturday marked the start of the Year 8 A team's football campaign, with a challenging opening match against Wilson's School at Priest Hill. Eager to make a strong impression, the team struggled to handle the physicality of their opponents in the first half. Wilson School dominated early, leading 2-0 at halftime.
During the break, tactical adjustments were made, with changes to both the formation and personnel. The team returned to the pitch playing more cohesive football, reducing the mistakes from the first half and moving the ball around with greater confidence. About 10 minutes into the second half, Hiro I (8O) chased down a pass on the wing, outpaced the defender, and calmly struck the ball past the onrushing goalkeeper to pull one back.
The team’s resilience and determination continued to shine as they pressed for an equaliser. The breakthrough came from the left side when Ray S (8A) latched onto a through ball and coolly slotted it home, securing the 2-2 draw.
