GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

This week, there has been no better embodiment of our school values than the fantastic work undertaken by students acting as tour guides and subject representatives to prospective families at our Open Morning events and the Sixth Form Open Evening.

As Parents and Carers have been leaving school via main reception following their Open Morning tours, the feedback regarding Year 8 helpers was exemplary with many wanting to highlight their 'tour guides' for their politeness and keen insight into life at Glyn.

It was wonderful to hear our Year 12 cohort discussing their first months at Glyn so positively with families yesterday evening, describing Glyn as a kind and respectful environment and being excited to show students from their previous school's round. The academic endeavour demonstrated by students in subject areas was evident with real passion being evident in discussions with parents about what's it's like to study A Levels and BTEC's.

For Parents and Carers making secondary school choices, it must be incredibly reassuring to meet such wonderful ambassadors for the school - a huge well done to all involved!
