SURREY SCHOOLS CHAMPIONSHIP SUCCESS
SURREY SCHOOLS CHAMPIONSHIP SUCCESS
We are thrilled to announce that on Saturday 8 June 2024, two of our Glyn students, Cameron A (9D) and Euan S (9A), were selected to compete in the Surrey Schools Championship. This selection itself is a significant achievement, following their stellar performances in the district championships.
In the district championship, Cameron triumphed in the 100m race with an outstanding time of 11.7 seconds. Euan also shone brightly, securing 3rd place in the 80m hurdles final. This is a remarkable achievement especially considering it was his debut in this event.
At the Surrey Schools Championship, both students excelled in their heats, earning spots in the finals. In the 80m hurdles final, Euan finished 4th, demonstrating his growing prowess in the event. Cameron also achieved 4th place in the 100m final, marking a significant improvement from last year and establishing him as the 4th fastest runner in Surrey for this event.
We are immensely proud of Cameron and Euan’s achievements and look forward to their continued success in future competitions. Congratulations to both of you!
