CCF Remembrance Service Sunday 13 November 2022
Every year, I am very proud of the Glyn School Freemen’s Cadets who take part in the Sunday Remembrance Service in Ewell. This Sunday, for the first time, we were joined by cadets from the City of London Freemen’s School as well as our Contingent Commander Capt. Truelove who looked very smart in parade uniform and led the cadets in the march to the church. The wreath was laid by Henry (11D) who is a Cadet Junior Corporal in the RAF section, as this year we were focusing on the RAF.
Our Contingent was also represented by Joshua (11A) who laid the wreath on behalf of All Saints Church, West Ewell. His Youth Leader Mr Scullion - Veteran, Royal Naval Reserve said “Cadet Joshua was a fantastic representative of the CCF. He was smartly turned out for Remembrance Sunday and carried out this duty well.” When asked for his comments regarding being asked to lay the wreath, Joshua commented that “I felt proud to represent the CCF and pay tribute to our fallen soldiers and service personnel.”
I would also like to mention Miss Caverhill for her support again this year in accompanying the cadets.
