ALL STUDENTS WELCOME - Enrichment Lecture: The Assassinations of Abraham Lincoln and John F Kennedy
Thursday 20 January from 3.10pm to 4.00pm in H8
We are pleased to let you know that Mr Matthews will be giving another of his enriching lectures on Thursday 20 January from 3.10pm to 4.00pm in H8.
This lecture will look into the lives of both Lincoln and Kennedy, their Presidencies, and what happened on the fateful days of their deaths.
This lecture is open to all students but will be of particular interest to students in Years 9 and 12.
YEAR 11 STUDENTS' Lectures - January 2022
Mr Matthews will be running some excellent and extremely useful lectures to support Year 11 students in the next round of their PPEs and 2022 in-class assessments. These lectures will take place in the Training Room from 3.00pm to 3.45pm on the following dates:
- Monday 10 January: 'Macbeth' (ALL Year 11 students)
- Monday 17 January: 'A Christmas Carol' (11ZE, 11AU, 11DA, 11SH, 11BL, 11CH, 11BY)
- Monday 24 January 'Jekyll and Hyde' (11RO, 11AN, 11WO)
Students should please take the opportunity to revise and learn some important historical context information that will give them a richer, deeper understanding of the texts and enable them to write about these in their January and February examinations.
