GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Movember

Glyn School has once again signed up for Movember. This great charity raises both awareness and funds to support men’s health, including prostate and testicular cancers, as well as men's mental health.  You can read more about Movember here.  Staff and Sixth Form students are encouraged to be clean shaven for the start of November, then attempts are made to grow different styles of moustaches. The 2019 masterpieces grown by some of the staff can be seen in the photo above.

This year, a large number of staff and Sixth Form students have already shown off our fresh, smooth faces this week, so be prepared for some great (and some not so great!) results as we hone our moustaches. We hope that you will consider supporting our efforts by making a donation to Movember.
