House Football
House competitions continued this week with the start of House Football. Students have been creating their squads and deciding tactics for the last few weeks, and the time finally came this week to put their plans into action! It has been great to walk around Form rooms and see teams written up on whiteboards and witnessing students’ obvious excitement about their Form’s potential success.
House Football got underway at a sunny Priest Hill on Monday with the Year 7 matches. The tournament got off to a great start in the A team section, with Bourne and Carew Houses unable to be separated after two games; they now await Derby House’s return to school to find out who will be going through to the final. In the B team tournament, Abbey House got off to an excellent start by beating Bourne House, but Carew House came through with two wins out of two games to take charge of the league table. Can Derby House spoil their party? We look forward to the other year group tournaments over the next two weeks.
