Former Glyn School Head Boy Makes Guinness World Record

Former Glyn School Head Boy James Farmer has completed an extraordinary 24-hour tractor tyre flip challenge in support of a new sports pavilion at Priest Hill!

Facing awful wethaer conditions, James continuously flipped a 100kg tractor tyre for 24 hours, covering an impressive 13.2 kilometres and exceeding the existing world record distance by 2.1 kilometres.Supported throughout by family, friends, former classmates, staff and local residents, James showed exceptional determination, resilience and community spirit.

So far, James has raised more than £10,000, and we are incredibly grateful for his amazing effort and supporters generosity. His commitment to this challenge will help provide enhanced sporting facilities and opportunities for both current and future Glyn students, creating a lasting legacy for generations to come.
