Remembrance Day
This week, our Year 11 students have shown outstanding conduct as they completed their first round of mock exams. Their dedication to their studies has been remarkable, with many demonstrating a strong commitment to thorough preparation for each subject. The exam hall reflected a respectful and focused atmosphere, thanks to the exemplary behavior of our students. They adhered closely to all examination guidelines, earning high praise from the invigilators for their positive attitude and conduct. Well done, Year 11—keep up the great work!
On November 11, our school community gathered to honour Remembrance Day, a solemn occasion to remember those who have sacrificed, and continue to sacrifice, so much. As a school, we have lost 33 former Glyn students to war, and each year, we remember them. Their names are proudly engraved on our memorial to acknowledge the profound sacrifices they made for their country, friends, and loved ones.
The significance of this day and the values of respect resonate deeply throughout our school. Our Year 9 students made us incredibly proud, demonstrating exceptional attentiveness, solemnity, and respect during the service. Their courtesy and thoughtful engagement were truly admirable.
All of our students showed a deep understanding and respect as they paid tribute to those who have served and continue to serve with admirable sincerity. We are proud to celebrate the remarkable young people our students are becoming. Their actions reflect their character, empathy, and awareness of the world around them.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.
