GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

8D READING CHALLENGE

The amazing readers of 8 Derby embarked on an exciting group reading challenge during their AR lesson, and they truly rose to the occasion! Each team was assigned a book to dive into together, immersing themselves in the story and working collaboratively to master the content. After reading, they took on the thrilling challenge of completing the Accelerated Reader quiz, aiming for a perfect score of 10/10. The energy in the classroom was electric as students read with intense focus, supporting each other at every turn. It was a fantastic display of teamwork, with everyone contributing their strengths and encouraging one another. Their passion for reading and their ability to work together so seamlessly made the experience truly unforgettable!
