Glyn School Careers Fair Returns
This week saw the return of our Annual Careers Fair for Years 7 - 13. The purpose of the Careers Fair is to provide our students with an opportunity to find out more about future careers and education opportunities which are open to them.
This year over 35 companies / organisations attended the Fair including:
- Employers from a wide range of industry sectors
- Representatives from the Army and the Emergency Services
- A selection of Colleges and Universities
- A range of Apprenticeship specialists
- The Epsom and Ewell Careers Hub for 16+
- GLF colleagues to discuss a career in teaching
Our Glyn School Careers Advisor was also on hand to answer any questions.
The exhibitors were exceptionally complimentary about our students and how engaged and well prepared for the event they were. The following students in particular, were mentioned by name as they really stood out:
Year 7 - Thomas (7B), Charlie (7D), Kasjan (7D), Tayyib (7D), Felix (7SB)
Year 8 - Ali (8B), Owen (8C), Tristan (8SB)
Year 9 - Teddy (9B), Louis (9SB), Max (9SB)
Year 10 - Samson (10A), Shubham (10D), Matthew (10M), Raine (10M), Shaheen (10M), Harry (10SB)
Year 11 - James (11A)
Year 12 - Gabriel (12B), Otto (12C), James (13D), Liam (12D), Abirame (12O2)
Well done to all our students.
The Careers Fair is an important part of our Careers Programme, supporting our students with their Next Steps so all our students from Years 7 - 13 attended throughout the morning.
We really appreciate the help and support from this year's exhibitors and the guidance and advice they gave our students. Without them, the Careers Fair would not be possible.
We are already thinking ahead to next year, and if you or your employer would like to take part in future Careers Fairs, please contact Karen Jones, Careers Lead at K.Jones@glynschool.org.
