The Queen's Green Canopy
KS3 Science Club - The Queen’s Green Canopy
This week we planted tree seeds in home-made terrariums (plastic bottles). The seeds were planted in a self-contained environment which is self-watering to prevent it drying out.
The long-term goal is to be able to contribute native saplings for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee Green Canopy programme, which invites people across the United Kingdom to “Plant a Tree for the Jubilee.” This national tree initiative will see trees being planted by individuals, community groups, schools, businesses and councils to create a network of trees that will help to support the environment and fight the climate crisis. You can read more here: The Queen’s Green Canopy.
KS3 Science Club meets every Monday lunchtime in S9 and is open to all students in Years 7 and 8. Do join us!
