GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

AIDENS' 13 BRIDGE CHALLENGE

I arrived really early at the meeting point so we went to a local café and got a biscuit to make sure that I was full of energy.

Then I met the rest of the team of 10 from 154 Detachment 15 Company, and once I had swapped to a shirt that fit we made our way to the start. Everyone was really up beat and enthusiastic.

The first few bridges flew by and when we reached bridge 10 we were treated to an ice cream for the final push. I was very proud to have made it all the way, but by bridge 13 my feet were hurting. However it was all worth while for the great cause we were raising money for, the medal which was presented to me by a veteran and the goodies from the different armed service stalls, not to mention I managed to squeeze in another ice cream.
