Glyn 1XV Progress Through to Round 3 of U18 National Vase
Glyn knew that things were going to be tough against opponents that had some very strong players across the board. With all Cup games, teams feel the pressure and mistakes occur. Glyn did make the better start going up by two tries early on. This was accredited to the physical intensity that the whole team showed. However, the next 30 minutes saw Richard Challoner dominate a lot of the play scoring a couple of tries themselves.
Half time meant changes, with this brought a boost to the Glyn side. Going 26-10 up was surely enough to progress through to Round 3. Our opponents were not letting this go by easily, as pressure mounted, Glyn needed to show some real grit and determination to hold off as eventual 26-10 winners. Reigate Grammar/Worth School await in Round 3.
A massive thank you to our kit sponsors, Johnson’s Independent Property Agents, who once again have helped provide quality kit for the teams at Glyn School. Please see their fantastic offer for you and your families.
