Message from Head of School
We are fast approaching the end of our school year, and what an extraordinary year it has been.
I cannot believe I have completed a year now as Head of School, and I must say I am thrilled to be here amongst such amazing staff and students. Although it has been an incredibly challenging year, in so many ways, the students have shown resilience throughout. The way they have adapted to changes at such short notice has been exemplary.
During the next academic year, we give our word that we will do everything we can to ensure that our young people receive the education they deserve. The announcement this week regarding schools returning to some level of normality in September is great news for us to hear. To be able to dedicate all our resources now on educating our students, rather than all the other things we have had to do this year, fills me with delight. School will reopen to all students once again, opportunities will recommence, and young people can have their lives back again.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank staff and students this year for collectively making this year work. It has taken a huge amount of hard work and dedication, but we have made it through. I also want to thank our families for the encouragement and support you have shown this year.
I look forward to working with you all again next year; have a great summer break.
Jo Garrod, Head of School
