British Science Week - Friday 5 March to Sunday 14 March 2021
TWO COMPETITIONS for Key Stage 3 Students
To celebrate the 10-day British Science Week, we are running two competitions for Key Stage 3 students:
- Glyn’s Key Stage 3 Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2021.
There are five categories you can enter:
- Animals in their Environment.
- Plants and Fungi in their Environment.
- Natural Landscapes.
- Urban Wildlife.
- Animal Behaviour – memorable, unusual or dramatic behaviour.
Each student may submit one photograph per category. The photograph must be taken solely by the student and can be from the period covering their summer holidays up to now. Entries are to be uploaded onto the British Science Week Competition assignment on the student's Science Google Classroom by Friday 12 March. There will be category winners and an overall winner who will become Glyn’s Key Stage 3 Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2021.
- Design a Poster on the Theme of ‘Innovating for the Future’.
This is a National competition which is being run by the Association as part of British Science Week. The five best entries at school will be selected by Glyn School’s judging panel and will be put forward to represent Glyn School in this National competition. Entries for the poster competition can be either A3 or A4. Students may only submit one poster. Please hand all entries to your Science teacher by Friday 12 March.
Please contact your Science teacher or contact me via email a.thomas@glynschool.org for further details of either competition.
