Message from The Chair of the School Standards Board
As we approach the long-awaited return of students to school over the next week, it is an appropriate time to record a few thanks on behalf of the School Standards Board (SSB) to members of our school community. Firstly, to the leaders and all staff across the school who have worked tirelessly to minimise the impact of the lockdown on students, and who have provided continuity through their remote learning provision over the past couple of months. It is clear from the parental feedback how much this has been appreciated. Thank you to the students themselves for their levels of engagement during such a difficult time; their response has been exemplary. And finally, to Parents and Carers for your support of your children and of the school during this unprecedented event. As students begin to return next week, I am sure you will appreciate the huge logistical challenge of testing more than 1600 students and all staff, and your co-operation in helping this to run smoothly will be greatly appreciated.
As you know, the process to elect a Parent representative to the SSB has taken place recently and I am very pleased to welcome Pascal van Loon. Pascal brings previous governance experience to the table and his skillset will be of great value to the group.
Kevin Gawley, Chair of the School Standards Board
