Provision for Children of Key Workers: Tuesday 26 May - Friday 5 June
Parents and carers will be aware that the school continues to provide basic supervisory care for a limited number of children - children who are vulnerable and children whose parents are critical to the COVID -19 response and cannot be safely cared for at home.
We would like to stress that it remains government guidance that every child who can be safely cared for at home, should be. Many parents whose work is critical to the COVID-19 response may still be able to ensure that their child is kept at home, and that use of this school provision should be seen as a last resort.
Where eligible families wish to make use of this supervisory provision for the following two weeks (Tuesday 26 May – Friday 22 May) we ask that you complete this form.
Families will be aware that this provision will not be available on Bank Holiday Monday, 25 May. To further aid with families’ ongoing planning, we would like to confirm that the school will be closed to all students for two days of staff training on the Monday 1 June and Tuesday 2 June. I have written to families earlier today to outline our initial planning for the phased re-opening of the school for face-to-face teaching and support for our Year 10 and Year 12 students, which is currently scheduled to commence on Monday 8 June.
In order to limit childcare to both a manageable level and to those that genuinely need it and are critical to the COVID-19 response, we will require that parents provide proof of eligibility, where they have not already done so. We would be grateful if parents who intend to use our provision forward such proof to glynmail@glynschool.org.
Where families have used this form to request a place, and subsequently decide that they no longer need, we ask that they contact the school on glynmail@glynschool.org.
