YEAR 12 & 13 SPORT SCIENCE TRIP
The Year 12 BTEC Sport and Year 13 A level PE students visited Kingston University, where they were given a full days experience of what university life is like and lab based facilities within the Sport Science department.
The day was split into two halves (plus lunch!), Physiology testing and Biomechanics. Students had the opportunity to test VO2 Max as well as lactate sampling within the lab. The Biomechanics looked at the impact of strength on how the body moves and what technology can do to impact injury prevention and performance. A big thank you to all the students who took part in the practical's and for making the day run smoothly. Another big thank you to Mr McKay for supporting the students in this external visit.
