Year 12 Prefects Campaign for Nationwide Change for Young People
As Year 12 Prefects for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and Mental Health and Well-being; Abirame (12O2), Natalie (12B), Stanley (12C), Favour (12O2) and Gabriel (12B) represented our school this week, at a workshop on the topic of consent. Through the organisation, Citizens UK, they are working on projects with students from schools across England to design campaigns on the topic of sexual harassment and harm. Representing the voice of young people, the aim of the projects are to bring about positive changes nationally.
These students were a credit to Glyn School, speaking eloquently and with great conviction on such an important topic.
At the end of this year, they will attend a summit in Birmingham, with hundreds of other students, to discuss these changes with influential figures, such as Gillian Keegan, the Secretary of State for Education.
We look forward to following their progress over the next few months.
