Movember 2019
Once again, a number of male staff (and Sixth Form students, if they would like to join in) will be taking part in Movember.
The concept of Movember is that men pledge to grow a moustache throughout the month of November, primarily to raise awareness of the key issues affecting men’s health, such as prostate and testicular cancer. Movember also aims to raise funds for this registered charity by seeking sponsorship for the moustache growers.
I will keep you up to date with which staff will be joining me in supporting Movember 2019. There is always much competition amongst staff and a considerable range in styles of the moustaches; the most popular in previous years has been the ‘handlebar’.
If you are attending a school event during November, please excuse the unshorn upper lips!
Both my father and uncle have been diagnosed with prostate cancer in the last year, so supporting Movember is especially poignant for me. Therefore, I have set up a Glyn School fundraising page on the Movember website.

On behalf of all ‘Movembers’, we are grateful for your support of this worthy cause.
