Glyn School Students Have Their Say!
This week has seen Glyn School students having their say.
Firstly, all students will be taking part in the Big Ask - the largest ever survey of young people in England, which has been initiated by the Children's Commissioner for England, Dame Rachel de Souza. Young people have been acutely affected by the restrictions of the past year, at a time in their lives when social interaction with their peers is so important. The Children’s Commissioner, supported by Marcus Rashford, wants to give young people their say so that the impact of Covid-19 on their lives can be understood, in their own words. Whilst the Children's Commission is independent from Government, this feedback will be used to shape the decisions which are made on behalf of young people.
Secondly, Glyn’s incoming Head Boy, Kye 12A, has been liaising with myself and the Glyn PSA to bid for funds to fulfil one of his campaign pledges; to provide football goals for the school field. I look forward to being able to update you on this bid in due course, and to seeing the voices of Glyn School students continuing to affect change in big and small ways.
