GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

World Book Day Competition Winners

Well, what can we say about our magnificent students? Just that; they are magnificent. Despite World Book Day taking place in a remote setting, this did not stop or hinder our students’ creativity.

Firstly, I would like to thank, praise and celebrate all students who participated in the competition; it really did brighten our day every time we received an entry.  We received some amazing entries from cakes, to stories, to decorated spoons, to decorated toilet rolls. The creativity and passion behind the entries has been wonderful to see, and truly uplifting. 

It was difficult to choose just a few winners, but a particular well done to Nick 7A and Edward 7C who were our top two prize winners. A further congratulations to Daniel 8C, Zack 8M and James 7C. 

We absolutely love to hear and see your fantastic creative work and perspectives on a broad range of books, so keep reading and keep sharing your favourite reads with family, friends, and teachers!
