Carew and Merton Houses Charity Week Success
Carew and Merton Houses Charity Week Success
During the last week of term before Christmas, Carew and Merton Houses held their Charity Week in aid of Pets as Therapy. The students held challenges during break times, including penalty shootouts, basketball, and cricket. Staff participated in a raffle and Sixth Form students guessed the amount of sweets in a jar. We also received some generous donations from staff and students throughout the week.
The highlight of the week was seeing the dogs and their owners from Pets as Therapy, who visited us every day that week. Whilst maintaining social distancing, some of the students were able to meet the dogs and find out more about the charity and its excellent work.
We raised £233.61 for this very worthwhile cause, and we hope to see the dogs back in school supporting our SEND department very soon.
Thank you to everyone for your support.
