CCF Congratulations
CCF Update and Promotion Congratulations
Although the CCF (Combined Cadet Force) have not been able to parade this year due to the current restrictions, there has been a lot of work going on in the background.
Contingent Commander 2Lt Truelove, who is based at City of London Freemen’s School (our partner school), has continued to look at ways in which Cadets can still be involved in CCF. We have set up Google Classrooms that can be populated with information for Cadets in Year 10 and above. This then leaves us with the Year 9 students, who would usually be well into their Basic Training by now. Mr Mason and I will shortly be delivering a CCF Recruitment Assembly, hoping that we will be able to start training in January 2021.
I have great pleasure in announcing some promotions which recognise Cadets’ efforts during the last academic year. Promotions are usually awarded in front of the whole Contingent, to acknowledge the hard work Cadets put in, but this year has had to be different. However, we still wish the Cadets to know how much we value their continued commitment to CCF, and to publicly acknowledge their promotions:
- Cadet Botley has been promoted to Lance Corporal Botley (pictured below)
- Lance Corporal Manoharan has been promoted to Corporal Manoharan
- Lance Corporal Baptiste has been promoted to Corporal Baptiste.
Congratulations to those students on their achievements.
