Topical Talk Festival
The 2025 Topical Talk Festival has now come to an end. It was a huge success thanks to the fantastic efforts from participating teachers and students across the world.
Once again this year Glyn students have won a Topical Talk Festival leaderboard award for placing in the top ten on the UK category leaderboard. This is a great outcome from a series of PSHCE lessons linked to the topics discussed this year.
To further understand, here are Topical Talks in numbers for 2025:
Student voice feedback: “I enjoyed the competition so much, I wish it ran over a longer period of time, including more topics” - Bobby
“I liked the information and discussion s of the various topics, I found the topics very interesting” - Liam
“I enjoyed the online platform, wish I could have commented more than the twice a day limit.” - Monty
“Interesting to see the opinions of students from around the world and read their comments based on the lessons their teachers delivered.” - Ayaan
Evidence of the students engaging in informed conversations and developing their ability to respectfully share their opinions in class and through the online platform is both empowering for the students and part of the PSHCE vision to develop global citizenship.
