Women's Aid Charity Event
We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to the Glyn community for raising a total of £2114.43 for the amazing charity, Women’s Aid, on our Christmas Jumper Day on at the end of last term.
Women’s Aid is a grassroots federation, working to provide life-saving services in England and building a future where domestic abuse is not tolerated. The charity supports women and children across the UK to escape domestic abuse and environments that put them at a risk of harm. Women’s Aid work with local communities, including schools, delivering the message that everyone can play a role in ending domestic abuse.
Women’s Aid freely offer mental health support to women who need it; the women are not judged on the severity of their situation, but are helped because of their situation, meaning so many more women can access their services.
Women’s Aid offers so many women and children the comfort and support that they need to get out of dangerous homes and away from people who may put them at risk of abuse. The difference that the charity is making to so many people’s lives is incredible and. With thanks to the money you all helped to raise during the Christmas Jumper Day, the charity can support more people who need it. Thank you.
